More than a traditional exhibition, Visionary Voices: Echoes of Inner Worlds Vol. II creates a meeting point between contemporary visionary art, the enduring legacy of surrealism, and the unique cultural atmosphere of Xilitla.

Edward James Museum, Xilitla
The Edward James Museum celebrates the life and artistic vision of Edward James, one of the twentieth century's most influential patrons of Surrealism. Located in the magical town of Xilitla, the museum preserves his legacy while serving as a cultural space where art, imagination, and history converge.
Surrounded by the lush landscapes of the Sierra Huasteca, the museum stands at the heart of a region that has inspired artists for generations. Together with the nearby surrealist garden of Las Pozas, it offers an extraordinary setting where nature, architecture, and creativity exist in harmony.
Within this unique environment, Visionary Voices: Echoes of Inner Worlds Vol. II creates a dialogue between contemporary visionary art, the enduring surrealist legacy of Edward James, and the cultural spirit of Xilitla.
Alongside the exhibition, the gathering will feature artist talks, curated experiences, cultural visits, and opportunities to explore Las Pozas and other remarkable sites throughout Xilitla, fostering meaningful connection, inspiration, and creative exchange.

For many years, visionary art has remained on the margins of the contemporary art world despite its profound capacity to explore inner experience, myth, healing, and expanded states of awareness. This exhibition seeks to honor those practices within the inspiring setting of the Edward James Museum and the surreal cultural landscape of Xilitla.
Bringing together artists from diverse backgrounds, the exhibition celebrates works born from deeply personal and visionary processes while creating a dialogue between contemporary visionary art and the enduring surrealist legacy of Edward James.
More than a traditional exhibition, Visionary Voices cultivates meaningful encounters between artists, visitors, and place through shared experiences, conversation, and creative exchange.
In a fragmented world, visionary art reminds us of our relationship to mystery, imagination, and the deeper dimensions of being human.
Visionary Voices Curator
Lety Blanco is a Mexican visionary artist, symbolist painter, activist, and curator with more than 20 years of artistic practice.
Her work draws from Renaissance painting, symbolism, mysticism, and visionary traditions, exploring themes of transformation, memory, femininity, and inner experience through figurative painting.
Mentored by artists such as Alex Grey, Allyson Grey, Amanda Sage, Michael Fuchs, Oleg Korolev and Miles Johnston her work has been exhibited in Mexico and internationally and published in CoSM Journal No. 11 and Flamantes No. 15.
Through Visionary Voices, she seeks to create spaces where art, community, and meaningful cultural exchange can flourish within the surreal landscape of Xilitla.
